Russet is a rather large, broad, and imposing ginger tabby tom, a unique appearance not often seen in RippleClan, but one he uses to his advantage. Like most other RippleClan cats he is stocky and slightly bow-legged, with webbed paws and sharp, hooked claws.

» P E R S O N A L I T Y
Rather stoic both in words and in manner, Russethawk is a strong-willed and rather loud tom, not afraid of making his own opinions heard, but at the same time making sure that others voices are also loud. He is kind hearted but only to his own Clan, with a strong sense of loyalty that is hard to budge, and often gets him into fights at Gatherings. He likes to talk about his family a lot, coming off as slightly obnoxious, but the truth is that he loves them and wishes that everyone could be as lucky as he is. He much prefers fighting to hunting, knowing the importance of words but also the importance of appearing strong and able to slash a few pelts if necessary.

He would suit an apprentice that needs help coming out of their shell, or one that needs knocking down a few pegs.

Named for his unusual coat colour, Russetkit's kithood was only marred by the death of his father Sharpwhisker, though he was almost too young to remember it. His mother brought him and his siblings up on stories of his father's greatness, and all three of them became warrior apprentices, determined to grow in his honour. His mother soon drifted from her kits, however, as she found a new mate and announced she was pregnant, not long after the tragic loss of Mistpaw to bloodcough. Russetpaw was angry, but his anger only intensified after Angelwish died during kitting. Pearlkit didn't survive long either, and Russetpaw blamed his mother's new mate for it all, determined not to talk to him. Eventually however, he grew up and gained his warrior name, realising that it wasn't really his mother's mate's fault, but his own for blaming him. He became kinder and more open to other cats, soon meeting Streamdapple and falling in love with her. The two have two litters together, though both only ended up with one kit surviving to warriorhood.
