One of the more open buildings, an old Twoleg Factory, is home to what feels like a million pigeons, one of the major sources of prey for CrestClan. This area smells a little but is easy to get used to, and is often used by apprentices to practice their stalking skills (pigeons aren’t too bright).

Talonstorm flattened his ears as a gust of wind blew through the nest, causing a flurry of fluttering through the grey birds roosting along the walls.

Nightfall twitched her tail irritably and flattened her ears, using her body to block the gust from hitting Archpaw.

Talonstorm crouched in a patch of brush as a pigeon fluttered down to peck at the scattered berries on the ground. He wiggled his hindquarters and sprang forward, pinning and killing it before it could take off.

Nightfall padded forward slowly, flexing her claws and mimicking Talonstorm's crouch. "Like this Archpaw," she mewed to her apprentice, glancing back once. "Wait till one lands."

Nightfall couldn't help the surge of pride she felt towards her apprentice, waving her tail with a low purr. She watched with keen eyes as one of the pigeons landed, launching herself forward and pinning it beneath her paws, killing it quickly. When she trotted back, she sat beside Archpaw and nudged the apprentice's legs into better positioning. "It looks like one will land soon," she mewed, eyeing the bird as it fluttered down.
