I see Fire

My name is Firestride. For moons after moons I have been fighting alongside my brothers and sisters of CrestClan. We've been protecting our own kits and our family.
But, in the end, we must all face the fact that we are all only a small spark in the ember of the flame.

If this is to end in fire
Then we should all burn together
Watch the flames grow high into the night
Calling out father, oh, stand by and we will
Watch the flames burn Auburn on the mountainside

I was a warrior of CrestClan, one of the best, if i do say so myself. I trained many cats, from Tinystream to Rosewaters. I have a certain disregard to the warrior code to allow myself to be able to fight for my clan.
However, I aren't alone. Many cats from the clans are planning to fight against the code. And we are going to do it.
RushClan is weak, and every clan knows it. Tonight we are going to drive them out of the city, as they do not belong here.

And if we should die tonight
Then we should all die together
Raise a glass of wine for the last time
Calling out father, oh, prepare as we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on the mountainside
Desolation comes upon the sky.

The fight was quick, as all RushClan cats are. Now I am standing in the wreckage that was once RushClan camp, and I ask myself. What happened? I've known every single one of these cats all my life, but now, I can only see savages. I've watched as queens are forced out of the clan and trying to take their kits.
However, something else catches my eye. A small body, not even three moons old, which is moving and whimpering. I comfort it, as I look at my leader, who yowls at us to leave. This is wrong, i see it now. But i have a loyalty to my clan, to my leader. What do I do?

Now I see fire,
Inside the mountain
I see fire

And I see fire
Hollowing souls
I see fire
Blood in the breeze
And I hope that you remember me

And as I walk back to camp, the small bundle in my mouth as I carry the kit, probably an orphan now, back to our camp to find it a queen to nurse it, I decide. I don't care what happens to me, this is wrong. I need to convince my clan that. However they will never listen. I offered the kit to a queen who refused to nurse it, just like the other queens. I quickly make a desision and leave the small kit with my own mother, who is now an elder, giving her instructions to chew up some fresh kill for the kit.
I'm not letting another clan suffer. I'm bringing RushClan back. How? I don't know. But I must.

Oh, should my people fall

I now face my own leader, after betraying him and bringing RushClan back. I have no regrets, other then not being able to care for little Deerkit, the kit that was left behind by RushClan and who has reunited with his mother. My own leader growls at me. I was told by the RushClan leader that if I ever needed somewhere to stay, I could stay at RushClan, so if I get kicked out of CrestClan, I can go to RushClan.
But, I don't want to. I'm not running like a coward. It seems like my leader has the same idea. He orders a cat to kill me in battle and I am ready. As we throw ourselves at each other, I have so many things to reflect on.

Now I see fire,

My home will always be CrestClan, no matter what others say, This is my home. If I die tonight, then I will still be CrestClan, no matter where I go. These are my brothers and sisters. These are my children. No matter what, I will always return.

And if the night is burning
I will cover my eyes
For if the dark returns
Then my brothers will die
And as the sky is falling down
It crashed into this lonely town
And with that shadow upon the ground
I hear my people screaming out

And as I feel my life draining as the cat takes a lucky hit, I make a promise. That I will never allow this to happen again. I will haunt cats who even think of the decision to kick another clan out.
Because it is wrong and we need all four clans in the forest.

And I will always see how we are only sparks in this bushfire. Its time they see the fire.
