The Gathering Place | The Silver Cascades

The Gathering Place is known to all the Clans as the Silver Cascades, a series of small, drinkable waterfalls that run down the sides of a piece of land slightly displaced by the earthquake many years ago that formed the Abyss and destroyed half of CrestClan's taller buildings. One side of the hollow drops down into the Abyss and is where most of the streams formed by the waterfalls go, dropping down into PathClan's territory. RushClan arrive from the north side, climbing down a well-trodden path in the rocks, while PathClan and CrestClan arrive from the East, and RippleClan up from the forest in the South. 

A series of willow trees form a circle around the edge of the hollow, and it is within this area that the Gatherings take place. A large oak stands in the center and each leader sits on the roots, higher than all others in the Clans, representing their link to StarClan. The truce lasts as long as the full moon is visible above the willows, and ends when it can no longer be seen. Sometimes cats come here to get water if their sources are depleted; a wary truce is still able to be held, but nothing is certain if the moon isn't full. 

Before half-moon gatherings, medicine cats arrive in this area to drink the water and cleanse themselves, before heading behind the largest waterfall {link}.
