Autumnstar's Loyalty - a short memoir
Wed 05 Dec 2018, 10:05 pm
Autumnstar sat at the edge of a glimmering pool, ginger speckled paws tucked under her body and staring down through the waters like her life depended on it. In truth, it did, but no StarClan cat would dare to bother her anyway. Nobody wants to agitate a cat about to lose their last life.
"Ebonytuft! Ivyleap! Sleekfire!" Autumnstar's fur ruffled in the breeze of the pre-dawn, ignoring the cough that sat in her chest like a hard lump. "We're going fishing, remember?" The cats' grumbling only made her flick her tail in amusement again, the loss of her eighth life having imbued her with strength she only remembered as a fresh warrior. The brief echo of Autumnripple! Autumnripple! tangled with the chorus of Autumnstar! Autumnstar! made her wonder why she ever doubted herself.
a WIP.
