The Deadwoods

A once lush forest along the side of the twolegplace, full of trees of all kinds. After the skyfall, the trees began losing their leaves as if preparing for leafbare early. Some sections are scorched by the fire, but most of the forest remains safe and untouched. Mice and squirrels scrabble amongst the leaf litter, but all the birds seem to have moved on.

Owl trotted across the forest floor, stepping quietly to avoid disturbing the tranquil air. He sniffed the air, detecting a mouse foraging a few fox lengths away, and dropped into a crouch. He shuffled forward and pounced, pinning the mouse and swiftly killing it.
